Propagule pressure can be low, medium, or high. These levels roughly correspond to areas with large dense stands within 0.1 km (high), sparse stands nearby or dense stands 0.1-1.0 km away (med), or no dense stands within 1 km. To view large dense stands, go to the GLRI Phragmites mapper and click the "Vulnerability Assessment Map" tab, zoom in on your area of interest, and click the "Phragmites stands > 0.2 ha" checkbox.
The hydrograph can either fluctuate annually or remain constant throughout the year, and average water depth can either be shallow (right at the soil surface) or deep (30 cm).
'Low' nitrogen roughly corresponds to the dark blue color in figure 7a, and 'very high' corresponds to red. Use the 'high' setting for wetlands surrounded by orange and yellow, and the medium setting for areas with mainly yellow and light blue. See Luscz et al. 2015.
Select 'short' growing season for areas zoned 5a or lower on the USDA zone map ; select 'long' growing season for areas zoned 5b or higher.
